Digital Impressions
If you’ve ever experienced dental impressions before you’re probably familiar with the unpleasant goop, gagging, and general discomfort. The good news is, that the displeasure is now a thing of the past. At Dr. Valle’s office, we use digital technology that can take extremely accurate pictures of your teeth, helping to better capture what’s happening with your oral health. This allows us to take a look at your teeth in 3D right after the digital impression is taken.
The digital impression scanner is a hand-held wand that can capture the structure of the teeth, gums and jawline in a short amount of time. Your mouth is scanned with a radiation free laser and in less than 5 minutes it renders a flawless 3D image of your teeth and gums. Through this high tech digital software, we will be able to follow your progress more accurately and see what is happening with your teeth. This technology can be used for all sorts of treatments including: crowns, veneers, inlays/onlays, bridges, implants, and orthodontic treatments including Invisalign.
Intraoral Scanners
This device allows us to create accurate and precise digital impressions of your teeth and gums. These digital impressions improve the accuracy of our treatment plans and also enhance your comfort as a patient. Intraoral scanners enable a faster process for dental restorations and aligners.
Intraoral Camera
Preventative dentistry is an important part of caring for your oral health. Taking care of your teeth is a team effort involving you, your dentist, and the dental staff. To stay informed and up to date as to what is going on in your mouth the intraoral camera is utilized.
A small camera, about the size of a quarter, is put into your mouth to view cavities, chips, or cracks. This will help you and the dentist stay more informed on the condition of your teeth and help save you money and discomfort down the road. X-rays are useful but don’t compare to the kind of information the intraoral camera can provide. It is truly one of the most valuable tools in advanced dental technology used today.
